-
- Finally, someone from VisCorp speaks. Perhaps some of the wild speculation
- can be laid to rest now ?
-
-
- We all fear for the future of our 'beloved' amiga. We all want newer,
- significantly more powerful machines, and an improoved OS. I understand
- that Viscorp may be focused on it's set-top boxes, but i hope it see's that
- more than this can be acheived here.
-
- Not only should it be easy to use an amiga computer to develop on for these
- set-top boxes, but it should also be possible to have a future amiga hold
- it's own, if not beat into the ground, against any other computer. I am
- sure you know what we all want here. A more powerful machine. I dare say
- some cheaper, low end system will also have to be desined :-)
-
-
- I think it would have been foolish in the extreme for VisCorp to spend $40
- million (is that accurate ?) on a chipset and inventory, etc. If Viscorp
- was only going to grab the chipset, and dump the amiga, why not just
- license ? Why buy up the inventory, personel contracts (?), distribution,
- etc, etc ?
-
- I belive it is because Viscorp envisions more than simply set-top boxes...
-
- Would it be fair to say that ?
-
- Will we be happy with viscorps plans ?
-
- Or are you awaiting the same answers ?
-
